Signs your AC needs maintenance or repair

Why does your air conditioner stop working?

Air conditioners are devices that should ideally be maintained annually. But sometimes, it is easy to forget that you have a maintenance service due. When this happens, we unconsciously create conditions where the AC has a higher chance of functioning poorly. Some of the common reasons why your AC may not be working are:

•         It is low on refrigerant fluid.

•         The evaporator coil has been frozen by excess refrigerant.

•         There is dirt, dust and debris filled inside the air conditioner condenser coil.

•         The AC fan’s motor has been damaged or is overheating.

•         The thermostat hasn’t been calibrated to the right settings.

•         The AC drain or pan is clogged.

We also partner with Roseland, NJ residents to offer scheduled, annual maintenance services. As part of our maintenance service, we will visit your home according to the discussed timelines to:

•         Clean and remove any debris in the AC vents and condenser coil.

•         Replace air filters that are dirty.

•         Top-up the refrigerant fluid.

•         Replace fan motor or repair the motor to start functioning correctly.

•         Plug-in the holes in the ducts.

•         Recalibrate the thermostat or install a more modern one.

•         Unclog the pan and drain pipes.

•         Provide any other lighting, heating or HVAC equipment in your house.
